About Zara
In her daily life Zara is a high school teacher of philosophy and religious studies. However the real fun begins when the bell goes and Zara can get back to training and teaching pole and pole silks.

Zara began training pole in 2016 at the age of 25 and was slow to progress after a lifetime of playing video games and never going outside.
​
Zara loves how strong pole makes her feel and is a collector of pretty shapes and fun combos. It's impossible to put into words just how much Zara loves pole.

In March 2021 Zara got her first set of pole silks and started to train herself at home. Zara fell instantly in love with the (literal) support pole silks could give her in her pole practice. Laybacks are much easier when you've got some silks to hold onto!

In 2022 Zara earned her first pole teaching certification and began leading pole silks and mixed level pole dance classes at Empire Pole Studio based in the south of Edinburgh.
​
Planning pole classes to be fun, welcoming and challenging all at once is what Zara lives for these days.
